On Sunday, April 28, 2024, The Town of Kirkland Lake will join workplaces, governments, and municipalities across Canada, in commemoration and memorial of the National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace.

The Town of Kirkland Lake continues to assess the damage to infrastructure stemming from the initial flooding event sustained on April 12, 2024.

At their special meeting on April 25, 2024, the Council of the Town of Kirkland Lake passed its 2024 Budget that includes a Tax Levy of $12,571,568 on an overall net Operating Budget of $19,979,555 and includes an increase in the Residential Tax Rate of 5.85% over last year.

The Town of Kirkland Lake is assisting in hosting a Community Clean-Up from May 6th to May 11th, 2024. Monday through Friday, join us from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Town recognizes with great sadness the passing of Henry Lambert on Wednesday, April 24th. Henry was a former Firefighter for the Town of Kirkland Lake for over 32 years starting his career with the Town at just 23 years of age.
