Waterworks/Wastewater Department
The department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Lionel Sherratt Water Filtration Plant, water control buildings and wastewater lift stations. Public services rendered by the section include the maintenance, repairs and/or replacement of all water and sanitary sewer lines and mains, inspection and maintenance of all manholes, thawing of frozen water lines, water turn off/on, water valves, blocked sewers, fire hydrant inspections, maintenance and snow removal. Ontario Clean Water Agency is the town's contracted service provider responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe drinking water to citizens within the service catchment area.
