Our Home

Our Mission

Our home is committed to the highest quality services for seniors in an environment that welcomes diverse populations among residents, families, staff, volunteers and community partners. In our activities, we will recognize and strive to accommodate the cultural and religious/spiritual needs and interests in our organization.

We will strive to meet the changing needs of new and existing residents, including adjustment of services to facilitate further development of culturally specialized services.

We will facilitate a way of life that enables residents with challenges to realize their potential and achieve self empowerment.

Family Council

Do you have a friend or family member that live at Teck Pioneer? Would you like to gain knowledge about the policies and procedures that govern the Home, while understanding the Rights of the Residents? Are you interested in sharing ideas and being involved with other resident’s family members? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please contact us to see how you can become involved.

Resident Council

Every resident is encouraged to become a part of our Residents' Council. There are monthly meetings where you may voice an opinion or make suggestions. Staff members attend by invitation only. There is a Residents' Council Executive consisting of eight residents. Our Life Enrichment Manager meets with them once a month to discuss concerns and plan activities. Our Residents' Council joins with other councils throughout the province in voicing the concerns of residents to the provincial government.

Committee of Management

The TPR Committee of Management is a committee that provides recommendations to Council regarding long-term care, and is comprised of members of Council and local citizens, with Town staff being utilized for administrative support.

Minutes - The minutes of the TPR Committee of Management meetings can be found on the Committees of Council webpage.
