Committees and Boards provide recommendations to Council on certain municipal affairs such as economic development, library services, long-term care, etc. These local bodies are comprised of Members of Council and local citizens. Town staff are utilized for administrative support.
If you are interested to volunteer your time to a Committee or Board, please complete the application form. To see the current list of openings, please see our Call for Applications - Committee Members. Appointments coincide with the four-year Council term unless stated otherwise. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen and resident of Kirkland Lake without any convictions of an indictable offence. The Committee Member Appointment Policy details the full appointment process.
